Estimated time commitment for local mntr coordinators
We estimate a total of 100 hours would be invested by a local MNTR Coordinator over the course of the full 9-12 month MNTR program with 20 participants. We suggest adding 5 hours with each additional participant to estimate your full time commitment. We anticipate that nearly 80% of that time would be invested in the preparation and the first three months of the program. For example:
- 40 hours (apx 5 hrs/week) - Preparation: 6-8 weeks before the workshop
- Inviting and recruiting participants
- Coordinating mentor-matches
- Supporting workshop on-site logistics
- Setting up an optional private online platform like Slack or Facebook group
- Communicating regularly with participants and MNTR staff
- 40 hours (apx 3 hrs/week) - Months 1-3
- Checking in with each participant to ensure and adjust appropriate mentor-matches
- Meeting monthly with MNTR staff
- 20 hours (apx 30 min/week) - Months 4-program completion
- Supporting quarterly activity logistics
- Checking in less frequently with each participant to ensure engagement
- Meeting monthly with MNTR staff
- Supporting the feedback and evaluation process
